Twinkle and the Sluts press pack

Staffordshire based Punk band Twinkle and The Sluts approached us to help with the development of their press kit, in readiness for the launch of new EP and to provide their Management team with effective tools for promotion.

From meeting with the band and understanding their approach, tone of voice and the overall requirement, we set about helping them deliver a professional and well structured press kit, that differentiated them from the plethora of up and coming bands.

The feedback has been extremely positive from all who have received it, supporting the overall elements that have been created to complete the press kit both on and offline.

The output has seen them obtain gigs in Camden and Soho and they’re now on 9 radio playlists, one of which belongs to Kerrang DJ Johnny Doom.

Here at The Marketing People we’re all incredibly creative people and our MD David was able to use his own performing and sound engineering experience to assist Twinkle and The Sluts engineer their EP at Slutboxx Studios.

Whether you’re in a band (we don’t discriminate on genre!) or run a small business, the same rules for communications and promotional materials apply.

As well as being creative, communications need to give the reader what they need to interact with your business / band / charity and create opportunities to sell and promote. Everyone needs a little help sometimes, even if they are talented, capable and able to be creative, professional and determined, which Twinkle and The Sluts definitely are.

If your existing promotional material isn’t getting you on the radio or creating leads for your business, let’s have a chat about how we can design creative, effective and professional promotional and communications material for you.

Give us a call on 01543 495 752 or email us on and let’s talk about what we can do for you.

Oh, and if you fancy listening to Twinkle and The Sluts, you can find their EP on Google Play and Amazon. If you’re more of an iTunes person, don’t worry, they should be up there soon, something to do with explicit content…
