Printed or Digital cards?
There’s no right or wrong answer here, however there are a couple of things to take into account when deciding.
If your business promotes greener living or being eco-friendly, sending printed Christmas cards out might undermine your values, so in these cases it’s probably better to email them.
Emailing your Christmas cards may also be the best choice if you have a large number of customers, especially if you have international customers.
If you have a small customer base and they’re people you talk to regularly, sending a printed card would be much more personal.
Can I say Merry Christmas?
This is always a tricky decision as you don’t want to risk upsetting or annoying people with what you consider to be a gesture of goodwill. If you want to err on the side of caution, consider using Happy Holidays or Season’s Greetings.
If you want to be completely safe, then simply thank your customers for their business over the year and wish them a Happy New Year.
